Care

Comfort
During treatment is all important; for those who in the past have been held back by fear of needles, anaesthetic, when required, can be administered using needle free techniques in many instances.
If an injection is required anaesthetic cream is routinely used beforehand to make any injection barely perceptible. Extensive treatment or even simple fillings can make some patients anxious and in these situations a sedative can be prescribed.

Sterilisation
Following the recent installation of our LDU (local decontamination unit) all of our instruments are processed on site going through documented cycles of cleaning and sterilisation with checks and measures to ensure scrupulous standards of cross infection control, to give patients peace of mind. All non sterilisable items are single use and disposable.

Technology
The practice administration system is run by the latest computer software called Kodak R4 to ensure the most accurate and efficient appointment and record keeping. All x rays are processed digitally through Kodak R4 to give lower patient dosage and allowing for instant accurate results-no more waiting for x rays!

Training
The dental team have annual formal update training in all core disciplines including CPR, cross infection control, radiation and health and safety. All are registered with the General Dental Council. A keen interest is also taken in training to keep abreast of technology, cosmetic and implant advances.
In conjunction with the Denplan team we have formal appraisal days to assess, monitor and improve patient care from the moment you receive your appointment to the moment you leave after treatment.
